What you can pick
Scottish Christmas Trees at Tyrebagger, Aberdeen, is a family-run Christmas tree farm. The farm grows its own real trees, and you choose your tree on site from a selection of Fraser fir, Nordman fir and pines; potted trees are also available. Stands, decorative wreaths, logs and kindling are sold alongside the trees.
The farm opens for Christmas trees in late November and is then open seven days a week from 10am to 6pm, with late nights on Thursdays until 8pm.
There is a forest walk for children and a photo booth on site. Dogs are welcome, and the car park is wheelchair accessible.
What visitors say
The trees are excellent and smell great, and taking one home is easy. Staff will saw the base off with a power saw if you ask, and they are lovely. You can buy a good stand on site. Giddy Up donuts are available and amazing. You can also walk through the woods to look for the reindeer and take a photo at the naughty and nice display.
Seasons and opening times change, so check with the farm before you go.
